You know who you are..  You trainers that have your female clients doing 3-5 pound curls and lunges telling them they might bulk up.  Hey, you.  I am calling you out.  Join my forum and discuss your training methods.  Ill be glad to have a discussion with you and enlighten you.  You trainers that have your clients do hours of cardio because thats' what burns more bodyfat, I am calling you out.  Better yet come to Springfield, MO and let me train you.  Heck, I'll even work out with you.  I'll dress out and bury you and show you what real training is.  Come on, join our forum.  Give me your methods about pilates and how that is going to create long lean muscles for your female clients, NOT!!!! I am calling you out celebrity trainers who are goofballs telling your clients not to eat after 6 pm like that is some magical time and the bodies met rate just shuts down.  You know who you are if you spend your time with clients telling them about spot reduction and doing a 1000 crunches a day.  Come on, Join our forum.

For those that don't know me, I am incredibly sarcastic at times.  But, I am quite serious.  I would love some of these goof balls to come on explain themselves.  Heck, maybe I can learn.  Well, I gotta go.  I am dieting now so I guess you all will get to know what I really think.  I luv ya though...

Brad you noticed that??  Jesh I am so tired of the lack of integrity or even knowledge of people.  I am at the gym here and I watch pathetic stuff.  Its almost sad what "professionals" are doing.  Buyer beware.  But there may be relief in sight.  Apparently, there may be legislation passed along the lines that fitness trainers must be licensed.  Hopefully, the licensing will be legit.  But I am sure there will still be idiots out there.  I watched ladies doing 5 lb dumbbell rows this morning.  Throwing the weights up and down.  No Control, no tension, no nothing just movement, I guess.  Oh, and they were being "trained" by a professional.  You know I posted these comments on twitter and we seem to have some following but not commenting.  I would love to has some opposition here since I am fired up.  Like I said the offer stands.  Fitness Trainers come here and train.  I promise you you will learn more training an hour with us than you will learn getting some freaking certification.  Goofiness.

Brad I better not watch that video.  I am sure I will get fired up.  Of course, my offer stands about them training with me.  But, you know they won't they will say "Oh that Michael he is just a muscle head ladies surely don't want that."  "You know, all that muscle will turn to fat when he quits lifting."  Despite the freaking evidence that Progressive Strength Training is the only form of exercise that will maintain skeletal muscle as we age.  Freaking look at the research you mickey mousers.  You think its that easy to gain muscle.  Almost impossible to build abnormal amounts.

Gotta Go eat now,
Blood Sugar Dropping.  Grin

Back at it today.  The local experts doing there Hip abduction exercises telling clients this will help them lose that fat in the inner thighs along with the triple reverse ab crunches that will tone up the lower abs.  Wow, man I think I am going to hire one of them for my own training.  Maybe they can take me to a higher level of fitness.

Ah, just kidding.  I luv u guys anyway.  You just help my business because sooner or later folks figure out your full of crap.  Then they come to me and I have them as clients for a long time.

Characteristics of A Mickey Mouser
Instilling a fear in female clients that they will Hulk up
Instilling a fear in male clients that they will Hulk up (imagine that)
Freaking focusing all your time on cardio.
What little strength work that is done is all single joint stuff.
Honestly, under the age of 25
Believer in pilates being the only form of strength training necessary.  Actually pilates isn't str training.
Only performing upper body work.

Ok You guys can add to or even discuss what we think.  I have just begun here.

LOL! Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of several methods of exercise. Jazzercise is a lot of fun, and it served its purpose of getting me "fashionably thin." Pilates does wonders for fluidity and grace (I'm going to be able to pose like a diva!). But many of the different things I tried over the years, I did to avoid the weight room out of fear. I rose to the challenge last year and it was amazing. I feel powerful, strong, and (ironically) womanly. Having just settled at home, I came across the Reebok weight set I bought a few years ago in which they adjust up to (gasp) 12.5 pounds! They seem so little now; some of my sets require dumbells three times that!

Are there really still trainers out there that are telling women that weights will "hulk them out?" Unbelievable; I knew better than that 18 years ago! Well, we all know that people will say anything to make a buck. On the other hand, there is more to this equation; people will pay anything to hear what they want to be told. Who wouldn't love a trainer who encourages you to eat what you want and pass on exercises that you don't want to do?

Good luck to all!

Well said Steph.  That is the problem watered down fitness.  Also, so few actually have enough experience and training to understand the big picture.  I am not sure we can ever get away from the basics.  Basics of strength training, cardio, and nutrition.  Training human beings is just a serious as going to see a doctor for a medical condition.  Buyer beware is my word of advise.

Have a Great Day,

Well I am probably going to step on some major toes next.  But here goes.  This whole phenomena of kettleball training is just odd to me.  I am not sure I understand it.  Oh sure I don't doubt that swinging a kettleball up over your head from the ground does engage a lot of tissue.  But, my goodness doesn't that pose some injury risk.  When we know that many adults have bulging or symptomatic discs why would we want to put them in a position to become injured.  Lets also look at the shoulder joint.  Swinging that kettle ball up over your head with a fairly straight arm.  Wouldn't that put a ton of stress on the shoulder joint.  I do understand that all movement has value but lets weigh the risk benefit ratio here folks.  You won't find me doing any kettle ball cleans.  I prefer to keep my lumbar discs as long as possible (whats left anyway) lol.  And since my shoulders are really healthy I prefer to keep my shoulders very healthy.

I can guarantee you, you don't need this goofy form of training.  In fact, I think for many it would do much more harm than good.

I don't have time to completely defend my views today.  But you kettle ballers why don't you come train with me and Ill show you how I train.  You will be injury free and we will leave the barf bucket out for you.   Grin  Then you can go back to swinging your kettle ball if you want.  We can still be friends.
