Build Muscle Psychology

This site is focused on BUILDING MUSCLE MASS Naturally.  Nutrition, training, and supplementation are probably the core elements in this mission.  Originally I had planned to write  today about an AWESOME CHEST routine I experienced last week but I realized I needed to look deeper into what made this an awesome workout.  I think last week’s post about 5 keys to success sparked this way of thinking. 

The last 25 years or so I have consumed as much strength training and nutrition information as possible through scientific journals, academia, and in the gym.  All this scientific knowledge is AWESOME but what I have discovered is there is more than just SCIENCE.  What I realize is that the PSYCHOLOGY OF TRAINING and NUTRITION is probably the biggest KEY to BUILDING MUSCLE.

Beyond sets and reps what is there?  What makes a routine PRODUCTIVE? 

PASSION or BURNING DESIRE to IMPROVE! 

Passion centered around the purpose to Change YOUR PHYSIQUE and force the body to adapt.  This passion forces you to lift greater loads and or more repetitions than before.  Passion forces you to go to intensities and levels of effort necessary for improvement in a progressive manner.  Passion forces you to keep working when everyone around tells you to quit.  Don’t do it!

Science is starting to uncover some answers when it comes to nutritional considerations and training parameters for maximum muscle.  But, all of this is irrelevant without PASSION.  To FORCE ADAPTATION when you have been training for many years or even a few years will require High Levels of Effort, and PASSION.

How hard did you train today?

Could you have found a way to train with better muscle recruitment (tension)?

Did you really push your body to change?  I can tell you the body has to be PUSHED VERY HARD!
